On the contrary of Hade’s misfortune, he actually made everything better for me this week! It was such a refreshing break from all of the things that were driving me insane, and I was really happy to see that he got his central episode this early on.
Within the Otome Game universe, I absolutely ship Yui x Hades together. It was great to see that Yui had a good understanding of the reason why Hades pushes her away, knowing that he cares enough about hers and others’ safety to seek solitude in order to protect them. I absolutely loved how Yui continued to persistently attempt to approach Hades despite the misfortune that was constantly being inflicted on her, (which she actually had brushed off as a coincidence and her own carelessness in the beginning) to try and give him a break from the misfortune streak, even if it was just for a brief moment. She also made some great points of taking advantage of the misfortune and turning them into positive experiences, which I must say was a great approach. It was absolutely ADORABLE how happy Hades was when Yui put together his two favourite snacks together rice-cakes and strawberries by making strawberry rice-cakes. Also, Hades smile is so precious, when he’s happy, I’m happy, especially after having seen the grudge stigma on his body (which he had shown to Yui to make his point) and claiming he can’t have happiness (for long).
This week though it was focused on Hades, Yui had brought up the subject of clubs to take part of at school. Baldr joined the Soft-Tennis Club, Apollon joined the Hard-Ball Tennis club (and is the only member LOL), Hades would have liked to have been in the Astronomy Club, but decided to do the activities on his own, and Loki and Thor decided to be part of the so-called “Going Home” Club. I have to say that part was quite funny because the two of them were looking around at other clubs and were like, “What kind of morning practices does the Going Home Club have?” and decided, ‘What the hell, lets just walk around!’
As for Thoth, I am getting quite tired of seeing him get Yui’s face over and over again- like, dude back off will ya? You don’t need to get in her face every time you have to make a point!
I think there is a better chance of me continuing the coverage of this show as we are now getting into the part where the boys are having their own central episodes. From what this week showed me, I just really needed a break altogether from Apollon, man what a difference it made when that guy had less screentime, sorry not sorry. But again, this show is still on the line, it ultimately depends on the individual episodes whether or not it will encourage me to continue- Hades was a special case (it was absolutely squea-worthy!) XD
