Brynhildr in the Darkness ep 8: The Cost of your Life

I’m typing this episode in a bathroom. NEVER DOUBT MY DEVOTION TO SO SO ANIME!

This episode begins on a rather somber note: Despite knowing it is a terrible idea Ryota is going to go to the location pinpointed on the mysterious device Neko brought with her from the lab. He knows there is no other way to retrieve the pills and is willing to pay whatever cost to save them all.

Well Neko makes it very clear she cares more about Ryota than herself and emphasizes she wants him to live. However once he leaves. . . Kazumi comes to his house in order to help him find the location on the map. I have to give her this, she is clearly in love with Ryota and unlike most harem show other options she’s basically like ‘No I don’t care I’m going to help him’ I normally don’t like the side options but Kazumi is pretty clearly interested in Ryota’s health while still respecting his wishes, something Kuroha does NOT possess.

Together they find it almost instantly- and the location has the buttfuck confusing name of Nakakaruizawa. Not so hard to say but a bitch to type out. Once they find it however Kazumi switches to MAKING HER INTENTIONS CLEAR and asks him to MASSAGE HER BOOBS in order to make them bigger. I shit you not, this girl wants his dick more than anyone else. Step off Kuroha, this girl wants yo man.

Wow uhm okay so she flat out says you can do what you want. I kind of. . .ship them now? Because this is one of the few times this kind of scene is done right good work anime omg.

No wow uhm I really do. This scene actually made me want to cry? Kazumi is obviously quite in love with Ryota and cares just as much as Neko- but knows she can’t do much. Still, she did everything she could to help. FUCK. The witch I thought I would like the least is now my favorite??

The mission however goes hilariously from Ryota almost being arrested and all the girls coming to save him to switching to actually meaningful material a moment later by showing the scientist (who turns out to be Ryota’s relative, that explains how he knows him)

Cut back to evil scientist and it turns out the next witch to be sent after the group will be a witch named Nanami, and with Kazumi apparently Kana is pissed she happened to mention Valkyria last episode. The shit Kana seems to know and share with Kazumi is actually a point of interest for me and this series.

Kazumi is a pervert.

However the police officers who Ryota was almost arrested by give the organization an important hint- and they bring in Nanami in order to begin tracking down who I am assuming is Kuroha. If the end of the episode is any indication. . . they want to find her no matter the cost.
