Impression
It was Yuuko’s turn this week to obtain the Innocent Form, but frankly I didn’t find it special at all since her circumstances for obtaining it was hardly any different to how she usually goes about her fights. But what kind of surprised me was seeing Yuuko actually attacking. She doesn’t like to fight so she tends to do it more gently and defensively with her ribbons or singing, but today she just straight-out (after having taken on the Innocent Form) grabbed the Terribad and threw it into the ground. It was a weird moment as I know they could have gone about it in other ways.
Other than that it was an ‘okay’ episode, but I could care less about the whole Oomari Lunch thing, it’s nothing new. We already that Yuuko LOVES making, sharing and distributing food, so having to sit through TEN MINUTES of pure food delivery was pure boredom. Sorry I didn’t find it cute and affectionate. The only thing that moved me today was the elderly lady who isn’t very good at voicing her appreciation. She lives in a large house with only her precious parrot as her companion. She was lonely, so she was always looking forward to Yuuko making the deliveries because it gave her company to look forward to- that’s why she is so impatient and complains about them being late. Yuuko finally realized this and invited her to try eating at the restaurant instead of at home, promising that she will still get the precious Honey Candy that Yuuko makes.
Next week, it looks like Megumi will FINALLY be getting her innocent form. With a birthday bash underway, I wonder what kind of episode this will be, and I cross my fingers that it will finally start progressing with the plot again!
