Continuing from last week, the cockroaches are attacking the Annex. Luckily, the executive officers have their own medicine in hand and were able to take them. One thing that was interesting, coincidentally, there were six terraformars. Each for the six officers. They question these creatures and their intelligence. Why destroy the medicine? Do they know how important those are to the crew? Do they even know why they’re there? And I think that, yes, they do. These things are probably a lot smarter than they think. We even got to see an “elder” cockroach, with a cloth wrapped around its waist. This spells out a lot of trouble.

Captain Komachi is telling the bastards on Earth that that they’re on their way to Earth and they’re taking the six terraformars as samples. The higher-ups say it’s not enough, and that they spent over 20 years worth of funds on this mission, so they can’t fail. Komachi thinks it was all planned, that it was pretty much impossible for the terraformars to even be on the ships. And to make things worse, one of the engines got damaged, and now the ship is plummeting into Mars.

The officers handle the terraformars in the ship, and the crew heads over to the hangar where the escape vessels are located. There are six vessels, so they’ll be separated into six divisions each led by one officer. Our main group is split up, with Akira and Alex going with Michelle in the Japan/America Division 2, Marcos and Sheila with Komachi Japan/America Division 1, and Eva by her lonesome with Adolf in Germany/South America Division 5. The group fist bump and tells each other not to die HAHA RAISING DEATH FLAGS. Everyone gets into their respective divisions, and they take off in different directions to confuse the cockroaches.

Luckily, they have medicine in the escape vessels for everyone, even if they are short-handed, so they won’t be totally screwed. Here’s the new mission(s): (1.) Earth is sending a rescue vessel for them that’s coming in 40 days. Wait for them. (2.) Rendezvous to where the Annex crashed. Bring the research equipment back online and continue to get samples. (3.) Last but not least, don’t die. Some teams make it all right, while tf3.35others are in trouble with the roaches. The radars on the ship seem to be working fine but the terraformars aren’t detected on it. Asimov’s team reaches some area where it looks like there are pyramids? They don’t explain what those are, but trouble happens when a terraformar randomly attacks one of the soldiers and kills them while Asimov loses an arm. Elena, the woman Sheila and Eva found in the shower, takes out a net gun. The captain trusts her to capture the terraformar, but in the end her head gets ripped off. AND I WAS CONFIDENT SHE WAS GOING TO CAPTURE IT TOO. CRAP.

Another example of terraformar intelligence is when Joseph’s team’s vessel gets caught in a net set up by the roaches. They’re trapped and a huge swarm of the roaches surrounds them. While Komachi’s team moves out, Sheila notices a roach on their vessel and we hear glass shattering. This is pretty exciting! I hate seeing so many characters die, but I was expecting it. Starting next week, I think we’ll finally see the actual crew members take their medicine and fight back. I’m really worried for Joseph’s crew, and can expect to see a massacre of either human or bug. Can’t wait to see some fighting, because there’s no way the officers are going to be able to handle a hoard of those things by themselves.

Eva’s going to get killed, I’m calling it right now. She may not be the first one, but eventually she will.
