Now see, you may be wondering what the hell the name of this episode means. And i’m going to tell you. Oh how i’m going to tell you.

So the episode picks up where the last one left off. Tomoya was a dick to Eriri and she runs off. The black haired chick comes over and finds out from him what exactly happened. And this next part made me laugh.

After the story is told, she’s like “Well that’s immature” Tomoya’s all “I know right? She was totally immature.” and she’s like “no you dumb ass, I meant you.” I must admit, I lol’ed.

haha lady. you're..you're fun sometimes
haha lady. you’re..you’re fun sometimes

As he doesn’t think he has to apologize because…let’s face it. He’s a douchebag. So she basically has to tell him “Yeah. You kind of do.” So he decides that he doesn’t have a choice if he wants to get his artist back.

So he is off to go find her.

Oh, and remember the antagonist who showed up before? You know, his old friend who Tomoya said that he hated how he showed his love of anime and would never work with him and how that guy planned on stealing Eriri from him? Yeah, that guy? He asks him to help find her and return her to his circle.

OH. oh sorry. DRAG her back to his circle. Because he’s JUST that much of a douche.

So the plan basically is to dress him up in the costume from the first dating sim they played together in hope that she will react to it and decide to go out and talk to him.

So he shows up on her balcony to talk to her. he takes her to their old school and asks Eriri for an apology.

No. No i did not mistype that. He asks her for an apology. The Reason? Because when they were kids they were bullied because they were otakus together so Eriri backed off so they’d be bullied less and she kept her otakuness a secret.

Because of this, Tomoya’s always held a grudge and hasn’t forgiven her. But..you know apparently it’s enough to ask her to draw free art for his game though. I guess he’s not THAT pissed at her. Free stuff always beats out anger.

Okay. I was pretty pissed at this guy. I have been for a while. But this scene right here. Oh god this scene.

So she asks him point blank “do you think her art’s better than mine?” he says yes. when she says “but i put so much hard word into it!” and..this..this is his response.

I just….I have no words. This guy just keeps going further and further downhill. It’s like for every step he takes forward, he then takes 3 giant leaps backwards. He is an awful awful person. Any sort of development he takes is immediately shat upon by scenes like this. It’s not revelationary, it’s not character developing, it just proves how much of an awful human being (if you can call him that) he is.

And as stupid as a reaction as you can get she basically finishes with “I’ll work harder to be your #1” rather than a normal person’s reaction of “Go Fuck Yourself”.

The episode basically ends with them getting back to work although they haven’t really fully apologized to each other.

Now we get to the part where I explain the title.

The reason I use this title is because I think I’ve figured out what’s wrong with this show. Nobody acts human. Everyone has insane reactions and insane motivations that make no sense.

The guy wants his manga to be made but doesn’t understand the emotional ramifications of what he does to people and if something doesn’t fit in his own perfect otaku world then too bad.

That includes telling a good friend of his whose feelings he hurt who worried that she was inferior to this new girl that she IS in fact, inferior.

Just...the words...they're not coming
Just…the words…they’re not coming

The black haired girl is too busy telling said Creepy guy how to do things, being a yandere and for some reason SNIFFING HIS BED LINENS

Oh baby, you sniff that otaku smell
Oh baby, you sniff that otaku smell

And Eriri is succumbing to battered housewife syndrome where he tells her she’s not as good and she isn’t perfect in his eyes so she claims she’ll do her best to do better for him.

No, no this is a perfectly healthy relationship
No, no this is a perfectly healthy relationship

It’s like there’s a viral gas leak emanating from Tomoya’s body and any girl who gets near him gets infected and stops being able to function properly and make rational, intelligent decisions.

The easiest thing to do would be to abandon this guy because he’s a creepy, controlling perfectionist who only cares about what he want and fuck everyone else. but the problem is, for some godly unknown reason, they all like him and want his dick.

The problem with this is, by doing so they are perpetuating his terrible behavior. Even by arguing with him and telling him he’s stupid for doing what he’s doing, they still decide to be around him. And by doing so, they’re enabling him.

I can’t bring myself to blame them for his terrible behavior though. The long and short of it is, Tomoya is a spoiled awful brat character. Every single time they try to develop him it fails miserably and just makes me hate him more. I… I can’t deal with this guy. He’s like a separate but almost equal evil to Tigre from Vanadis. I just…. Goddamn it i hate this guy.

The more I read your reviews on this show the happier I am that I made the right choice on dropping it at episode 1 (technically 2 if you count the pilot episode). I seriously didn’t like any of the characters and thought it was boring. Such a shame, I was looking forward to this one during the fall season. sigh Maybe I’ll hate watch it sometime if I’m bored. But hey, hats off to you Hideki for sticking with this show. It’s okay, only 2(I think there’s 11 total) episodes left!

Hey guess what! I saw a list of the top five anime from this season and this anime was on top! The person said at one point it was up there for “great characters” (bangs head on desk) ow…

Well, I guess Tomoya is becoming a textbook example of designated hero. This is like School Days all of again, with the diffrence that there the main charakter was intended to be a dickhead and sadly we wont get to see a scene like the end of school days, if you know what I am talking about. But it is sadly true, all these girls waste their time and effort to win over someone who definitly doesnt deseve to be treated so nice. The second best way to end the show for me would be them being feed up with this bullshit and just leave this jerk.
Oh, what whould be the best way to end it in my eys? Just watch what the fate of the protagonist of School days and you know the answer^^.
