Well everybody, remember how I said that since last week had a bunch of plot relevant stuff, next week was going to be a filler episode? Well guess what? My incredibly insightful observation was absolutely correct. Welcome to another ‘between the dance road’ filler episodes. But the question is, was it like the basketball episode or like the pickle one? Let’s find out.

So the episode starts up with Yuzuru telling the group that he really wants to go to cherry blossom viewing. As Kuma and Mizuki are used to this, they’re just going to go along with it, but Haneru needs a little persuading, Kanon also wanting to go.

We cut to the festival when Haneru is saving a seat for them when Master T Comes by. Let’s see….what costume is he wearing this time?

Ah. Of course. Silly me. I should have known.

Basically he shows up to tell Haneru that he should always be on the lookout for inspiration and lessons from everywhere, not just from people above him in talent level and to also make the world his stage.

Haneru takes this to heart and begins to dance. After a few minutes he’s approached by a drunk guy who teaches him a move called “The Stagger” which looks exactly like you’d think it would.

Why does Haneru get to learn all the moves?
Why does Haneru get to learn all the moves?

Eventually Kanon comes back and they dance together.

There’s an old man at the viewing called the old hermit who won’t move from a specific spot under a dead cherry tree because he’s waiting for it to bloom because a girl he liked decades ago told him that if it bloomed she’d go out with him.

Dude. That isn't meant to give you hope. it's like when the dad from Angels in the Outfield said "When the Angels win the pennant"

So Haneru decides the only logical thing to do is dance until the tree blooms from their magical dancing…ness..Because you know, why not?

And not only that, they all incorporate the stagger into their dance. Because drunken dancing is more fun with more people.

And before you ask, yes. for some reason this makes the tree bloom.

Don’t ask how, it just does.

The old man gets up and the episode ends with everybody having a good time at the Blossom viewing.

Yeah…this episode was cute, but it didn’t add a single thing to the story. This episode really is just a time killer. The only entertaining thing about this episode was getting to see everyone dance as if they were drunk. That was actually pretty amusing. Other than that… not a whole lot happened.

You’d think that I was forgetting something, or I left something out, but I really didn’t. Unless you count Yuzuru making a lot of food or a guy rapping about cherry blossoms…If you do, in that case, there you go. I just talked about it.

It’s nice to see them have fun, but I really do want to see more of the dance road. Or if it’s going to be a filler episode, at least some character development as this one really didn’t have much of it to speak of.

Yeah i mean...he raps about cherry blossoms...um...yay?

It was a cute diversion, but all in all, lacking substance. So….if you want to have some fun nonplot heavy fluff, there you go. If you actually want something to happen…skip this one.

I wish there was more to say about this episode, but there’s really not. What I told you is what you get. If you want to zone out with an episode in the background, well then boy howdy is this episode for you.

Episode 6/10
