I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, the Usami family are an extensively eccentric bunch of people. I can’t say for sure which one of them is the worst of the bunch, is it Usagi? With his childish obsession with bears and tendency to get jealous of absolutely everything? Is it his brother, who every time Misaki says that he likes something around him tends to buy it for him in bulk? Is it their Dad and his obsession with rubber duckies? Perhaps it’s the extended family…who knows. The point i’m trying to make here is if I had to sum up this episode, it would be the eccentric behaviors of the Usami family centralizing around congratulating Misaki on getting a job offer from Marukawa.

The episode begins with Misaki getting a bunch of calls congratulating him on the job offer. Usagi is getting annoyed and jealous, so he gets him drunk and kidnaps him away to one of the Usami families vacation homes where there is no cell service.

[Disclaimer: Do not ever intoxicate your lover and pull them somewhere against their will, even if it is for a sweet surprise like it was in this case.]

While exploring the grounds of the mansion, Misaki gets to the gate where he meets up with Haruhiko. The show casually reminds us that Haruhiko is another member of the Usami family that wants to date Misaki. As if we’ve forgotten between season 2 and now. I’m going to say this once, Haruhiko…get off your brothers man! I mean jeeze, it’s common knowledge that you do NOT try to date your siblings significant other. Even if you and your sibling don’t get along in the slightest. It’s rude!
So they go out to get some food and chat and Haruhiko congratulates him on the job offer. Misaki offly mentions that he likes Taiyaki. Yes, that leads to him getting comical amounts of it at the end of the episode.

So he returns to the Usami manor and gets lost on his way back, he is found by Usagi who takes him out to show him his secret spot on the property. Where Usagi would go and look at the stars when he was a kid. He thought it was a nice, non-material gift to share something so special with the person he loves. Which is sweet, but kidnapping is still wrong.
I’d be more morally against it if Misaki didn’t actually like it, and enjoy the time he spends with Usagi generally. It’s not like the Terrorist pairing where i could see either one of them with someone else. These two generally love one another and it’s really sweet.

Of course, a bunch of other people like Misaki too….including Haruhiko, Mr. Ijuin…for some kid who doesn’t think he’s very attractive. He has some issues with fending off the guys, and one lady. You know, he keeps telling Usagi to stop assuming that everyone is gay and after him. I think he could benefit from assuming until proven otherwise that they are after him with the life he leads.

Oh and one last thing that I’ve said once…but i should say again. DAMN RICH PEOPLE! Sending that much Taiyaki, an expensive watch, a cake air mailed from France…Poor Misaki can’t handle this stuff.
