Purple…is an interesting choice of color for Jotaro. I don’t know if I liked it or hated it. I mean I don’t know why they’re changing the color of Jotaro’s clothes. It’s the same outfit that he wore in the chapters, the same dolphin-heart thing, but his shirt was white, not purple. I feel like this isn’t supposed to be a big deal but it is to me. It’s very important to me! Anyway, I don’t remember when he started wearing the bombass black turtleneck but I hope David Pro doesn’t ruin that. :’)

But, I love what they did with Star Platinum I always wanted to mention this but I forget. I love pastel Star Plat, it makes him look soft.

[HorribleSubs] JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Diamond is Unbreakable - 16 [1080p].mkv0016We’re hunting for rats! Jotaro learned that Akira was dumb and accidentally shot a rat with the bow and arrow, but the rat didn’t die from it. Before this rat causes any mayhem, Jotaro sets out to look for it and he takes Josuke with him. It shouldn’t be weird at this point that a rat is a Stand user since we’ve had a hawk and a small dog as ones before. They go out and Jotaro teaches Josuke to shoot little pellets with his Stand at cans for when he really needs to shoot the rat. And ahhh Jotaro’s theme from Part 3 played. I just love seeing how much Jotaro has changed. I mean obviously he has because it’s been years since the events of Part 3 and he’s a grown man now. But I’ve noticed that Jotaro has become a little more sociable and less rude than how he used to be. He’s spoken a lot more because usually he was really quiet. But you can see how much he’s grown and learned, such as knowing all these things about rats and other animals. He’s so smart! He’s also a widely-known marine biologist so that’s another thing. It’s amazing comparing this Jotaro to Part 3 Jotaro and seeing the differences. He’s still very serious though. 😐

While Josuke is the more inexperienced, understandably so. He doesn’t really know what’s going on, he’s just following Jotaro. He gets all pressured when he holds the pellets and Jotaro doesn’t make him feel any better. He’s just a kid. Seeing his reactions were very funny, but they were even funnier in the manga. I liked this episode, but David Pro took out little things that probably would have given us a better idea to Josuke’s personality. We saw him being grossed out by stuff, like stepping into the water barefoot. But they took out the part with Josuke yelling about his Bally shoes. And if you don’t know, Bally shoes are a expensive brand and their shoes go for hundreds of dollars. They just took out tiny things like that and Josuke going “Eww, ticks drink rat blood?” and things like that. They’re not too huge, but they’re little things that made the chapters funny and gave us a little look into Josuke’s personality.

We know Josuke as a pretty laid-back and sweet guy. But he can also be a little immature, and he’s actually really spoiled, like with him not wanting to get his shoes dirty. We see his spoiled side later on, but seeing it earlier on gives us an idea how Josuke is. We still saw his immaturity and funny side this episode, but there could have been more.

[HorribleSubs] JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Diamond is Unbreakable - 16 [1080p].mkv0028Well, with my man Jotaro being a genius, he follows rat tracks and droppings. He guesses that the rat made a nest in the drainage and he follows the pipe to a farm house. They both go there and Jotaro again finds droppings so the rat is there. They look around but Josuke notices the refrigerator acting weird and separates himself from Jotaro. It’s then he finds the rat eating the flesh of the old couple living in the home, where it turned them into a…mush thing. The rat’s Stand shoots out sharp little darts where if it touches someone, it melts them. When shot a lot, you get completely melted and deformed. Josuke was able to shoot and kill the rat, and he thinks it’s over until Jotaro comes down and shows his melted hand and mentions he was shot by another rat. He calls the Speedwagon Foundation and confirms that Akira actually shot two rats and not just one, so they run back to where they left the traps and camera and find out that the rat was there and it seems much more cautious and aware.

They follow it’s tracks and come to an open area, and the tracks disappear. Jotaro is shocked that the rat backtracked, something that rats don’t usually do, and tricked them. The rat, who Jotaro named Bug-Eaten because one of its ears looked like it was bitten off by a bug (Jotaro wtf??????), was hiding between rocks on a hill. Jotaro gave Josuke rifle bullets to shoot while he used himself as bait and made the rat shoot at him so Josuke would find its location. He used Star Platinum’s time stopping ability (Za Warudo!) to dodge some of them but the rat was smart and used rocks to ricochet the darts and shot a lot so Jotaro was looking bad, but Josuke came through and killed it. He’s not the loser today.

Fun episode. We still see some new users because Keicho wasn’t the only one using the bow and arrow like crazy. I like to imagine Jotaro went to visit Akira and kicked his ass because he lied about shooting one rat. Next week Rohan is making a return already and at this point, things are going to pick up.
