Okay there is really not much to say about Episode 25 and much less for Episode 26, so these two are going to be short and sweet because we got some real stuff to talk about in Episode 27.

Episode 25: Pegitan gets kidnapped, and chaos ensues.
That’s it, that’s the episode. Just enjoy the wholesome goodness.

Aside from that, I was actually quite surprised that an animal wasn’t targeted this week. I suppose this means Daruizen hasn’t divulged his experimentation project with the others just yet. It is possible he is waiting to perfect it first before spreading the word. Otherwise it would be quite a surprise to keep it a secret when he was the one who talks the most about sharing information that would benefit the team.

Episode 26: Recap, that’s it. Asumi is inspired by Nodoka to make a journal about her experience so far (which was probably a good idea considering she has been taking in so much in so little time!).

Earlier this week I started hearing things on twitter about something “big” going to happen in Episode 28. But I did not see this coming. (And man was it tough to pick out a featured image, I didn’t want a drop a huge spoiler on the homepage for those who haven’t watched it yet!)

Episode 27: SHIT HITS THE FAN

HOLY SHIT. OH MY FUCKING GOD. DAURIZEN! OH MY GOD, NODOKA IS IN BIG TROUBLE!!!!! SHE ENDS UP BEING THE FIRST HUMAN TARGET. SHE IS GOING TO GET SICK AGAIN! I AM SCREAMING. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START BECAUSE I AM FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW.

Oh my freaking god, how am I supposed to talk about this episode after that? I am so overwhelmed by excitement that I absolutely cannot wait for next week’s episode. Oh man I am so glad I didn’t see any of the spoilers.

I always knew Daruizen was dangerous if he gotten serious, but holy shit, Nodoka didn’t stand a chance. She wasn’t ready for it at all, she couldn’t have possibly imagined him doing such a thing of planting the Mega Parts into her body. I talked about how it was only a matter of time before Humans would become the next target, but by having Nodoka of all people be the first we see, oh my gosh, that was such a ballsy move and I am absolutely here for it! YES YES AND YES.

First of all, this is the kind of intense confrontation I have been waiting for between these two since the beginning of the series. I absolutely love their dynamics, and this goes beyond my imaginations because I try to not get ahead of myself since we don’t see this kind of move often in Precure. And as weird as it may sound, if it wasn’t for her condition relapsing on its own, I always expected Daruizen would be the one to do something like this to her. After-all, he wasn’t shy of smudging blight on her face.

Secondly, hallelujah, I am so relieved to see they they did not sweep Nodoka’s illness under the rug because of COVID-19. We know how these kinds of events in anime are altered when something similar hits too close to home in the real world. As terrible as it is, I am so glad to see her get sick again for that exact reason. I didn’t want it to be turned into a gimmick, instead we’re seeing a pre-existing condition that was getting better relapse no thanks to the Mega Parts.

Thirdly: It looks like we might be getting Daruizen’s origin backstory as well, WHICH I ABSOLUTELY BEEN CRAVING FOR ALL THIS TIME, BECAUSE THAT SURE LOOKS LIKE BABY DARUIZEN IN THE PREVIEW. But it’s really hard to ignore that yellow flower on kid’s face– so it might not necessarily be Daruizen himself. Actually as I was collecting the screenshots, I noticed it kinda resembles Cure Grace’s yellow flower accessory she has on in hair. Ironically Daruizen sports a similar pair of (silver)  earrings, so I wonder if there’s any correlation between the two?

And this is super interesting because earlier in the episode, Daruizen went up to Shindoine and asked if she remembered her “host”. When he said that, I wasn’t sure if he was referring to her origins (ie: prior to becoming a Pathogerm General), or he was talking about what was the target she had selected and harvested the Mega Parts from. But if it is about their origins, then I am itching to find out if he was formerly an Element or possibly Human, a theory about the generals that has been floating around my head for a while now.

Last two minutes aside (talk about a bombshell going off), this was a really nice episode for Asumi. It was fun to see her experience what it’s like to be passionate and get frustrated about things. And it is always fun to see Asumi fight when she’s mad because she hits even harder and her attitude of, “Nobody’s got time for this shit” is absolutely glorious. I also thought she might try to help Kazu and his team win the Hot-Air Balloon Race in her own way by using her powers. Admittedly, I was a bit disappointed that she didn’t, it would have been pretty funny (though it can still be argued she was still technically cheating anyways since she could predict the wind way better than an average Human could). And most importantly, Asumi got her own Element Bottle, Air! They talked about something good happening when they finally get the final bottle for the collection, and I think it’s probably safe to say that means the power-upgrade the main trio so desperately needs. For all we know, perhaps these bottles may end up being essential for helping Nodoka recover, unless it ends up being something she has to defeat on her own.

But real talk: Is nobody gonna talk about what happened to the guy who was in the air-balloon that was attacked by Guaiwaru? There was an explosion and everything… Well hopefully the guy’s alright considering they didn’t find anyone in it after they defeated it…

PS: Star Twinkle Precure Prunce and Space-Ship Cameo as Air-Balloons!

Daruizen has always played it cool and it was clear he was very intentional in all his actions so to see a plan of his come together like this is very exciting?! I really like that we’ve been given this season of deep emotional connections and savvy villains that are all attacking them in different ways. With them at such a high level it’s easier to take a super charged 4th cure because lord knows they need it.

I’m definitely looking forward to more

Daruizen is absolutely fantastic! I love it when we have intelligent and daring antagonists! It always makes the story way so much more exciting. <3 <3 <3 I would say he is probably my favourite character in this series. I love the girls to bits, but Daruizen is special LOLOLOLOLOL, he is definitely my bias.

I agree, the writers are doing such a wonderful job with developing the emotional connections and making us actually invested in the villains!
