So that ended a little more anticlimactically than I would have liked. But considering the girl didn’t seem like a huge threat if you took away her abilities and didn’t seem to be in affinity with the Raiders, I guess it makes sense for it to not span a larger arc. Though I am a bit salty with such a great set-up to how much of a threat she could be, the threat ended rather quickly and in a way that didn’t feel as satisfying as I would have hoped. But anyways…

I’m glad they at least showed us one of what the others was seeing during their hallucinations. This woman he envisioned Amo to be could have been Delmon’s wife that seemingly got taken away or killed by some people. Either way, it was confirmed she is sadly dead. While we didn’t get to see what Riyo and Follo saw, I feel like what they saw might be addressed at a later time. But whoever they saw, drove them just as strongly as both Rudo and Delmon. Which opens up the possibilities to what their backstories are. But man, it was rough seeing them so desperate to protect whoever they saw as Amo was. Especially when they literally started tearing themselves apart trying to escape from their bindings.

To which, we finally get to see what Tamsy and his vital instrument can do. And I can kinda understand why he wasn’t utilized in the fight against the trash beasts, but it probably was mostly done so it can come as a “surprise and shock” when he uses it for the first time. Which is kinda dumb to me, but I digress. While we don’t really get to see the full extent of what he is capable of, what we were shown that his vital instrument seems to specializing in restricting and containing. But can also be used to deal damage by releasing the restraints at high speeds, which sent the group of contained aggressors into a tornado of threads that spiraled down the freaking tower. On first glance, this seemed like intense overkill on Tamsy’s side since it looked like he had sent his friends into bleeding and crushed messes. At first I thought he was just sending them away so he wouldn’t have to deal with all the nonsense. Especially with when he released them, he cracked the ground with his instrument. Guy was literally seemed like he was just holding onto his last patience. But I was shocked to see the amount of damage sending them down the tower like that did to them. It LOOKED bad. And initially I was with Zanka on how he could even do that to them.

And while I did forget that Remlin tagged them with safeguarding them from fatal blows like Zanka, I’m not sure how I feel about them using that up in that moment. I feel like there could have been a better way to wake everyone up and not waste that tag. Especially with how excessive that way felt. That was probably one of the bigger issues I had with how this was resolved that they essentially wasted the tag by doing PVP. I hope they have better ways of concluding arc fights in the future because I really didn’t like the direction of how they did it here.

What I did like was what happened afterwards and repercussions. I was just thinking that by forcing them to believe they were experiencing a reunion with their lost loved ones, only for it to be ripped away when they came back to reality. That is extremely cruel. They literally had to go through a second mourning once they realized that the person they loved was still gone despite it feeling REAL that they were with that person. The emotional and mental toll that must have taken on them. And when girl tried to guilt trip them into feeling bad that they messed up her home, the three of them just looked so dead. So I could hardly blame Rudo for walking over there and punching her. I feel bad for laughing, but I just was NOT expecting Rudo to just clock her in the face like that. It was so unexpected that I just cackled in shock. But I immediately stopped laughing when Rudo pinned her down and started punching her repeatedly. She DESERVED that one hit in the face after what she pulled on everyone, but after that, that’s when it became excessive and a little uncomfortable to watch. While everyone was initially shocked by his actions, the other three who fell under the influence probably had similar feelings.

While Rudo was wrong to go as far as he did, he still made valid points about not fighting back against someone regardless of gender. However, in doing so, he also jeopardized the mission and could have lost all the info he wanted if no one had stopped him because he most likely would have kept going until he killed her. I’m glad that they’re addressing Rudo’s anger and aggression issues. Considering the environment he lived in, I honestly don’t even blame him for having anger issues. However, Regto still did his best to teach him patience and to not allow himself to be consumed by taking his aggression out on others. Though I can see the issues of bottling up all that aggression all the time and just “endure it.” Clearly Rudo needs a healthier outlet to release his bottled up anger that doesn’t involve beating the ever living crap out of someone. It is good that Rudo acknowledges that flaw since I feel like a lot of the time I feel like short-tempers and aggression are constantly passed off as a quirk or a comedy aspect where characters never acknowledge it or grow out of it. So it feels refreshing that it feels like they’re taking the time to address it and show the dangers of it. Especially in Rudo’s case since there’s definitely more to his “curse” and it could become stronger if he just gives in to his violent tendencies.

I really liked how Enjin (I keep almost calling him Tengen every single time I type his name lol) took him aside so they can address the root of the problem. I’m glad that Rudo is self-aware enough that this is an issue. However, he doesn’t seem to realize that these things take time to fully overcome. There will be times where he takes one step forward and two steps back, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t making progress. And while I feel like at first glance, Enjin’s declaration of loving sexy ladies came out of left field, it actually was the thing that caused the situation in the first place. Because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut and didn’t handle the situation with Amo with the delicacy that it needed and ended up just escalating things. It was really sweet to see Enjin act like an older brother to Rudo and encourage him that now that they are aware of their faults, the only thing they can do is to go up from there. This is probably the first time that Enjin and Rudo have had a heart-to-heart like this so I’m glad to see how things between them are starting to progress. I also like that Enjin also acknowledges that BOTH of them need to apologize since both of them took things way too far in regards to Amo. Especially since if they actually just talked to her nicely and had a conversation with her, they could have gotten the information they needed without the needless violence.

I’m feeling half and half about this episode since a part of me is a bit disappointed with how the situation concluded, but I really like the introspection and the repercussions that followed. Because clearly, Delmon, Riyo and Follo are still NOT okay with how dead they’ve looked since recovering from the illusion. And Rudo is coming to terms about his pent up aggression and how dangerous it could be if left unchecked. Next episode will probably cover what Amo has seen in terms of the Sphere and Ground and what will become of her from this point on.
