Cardfight!! Vanguard episode 184 + 185 [Flames of Perdition]

After the terrifying pain that was my beloved Masaki’s defeat, we continue on to see Kamui get his ass kicked by Guillard. What? We know he’s gonna lose don’t give me that look you bastard MY PRECIOUS MISAKI /sobs/

Guillard and Kamui begin their battle with Energyraizer and Genius Liberator. Can I also mention, THIS EPISODE IS NAMED VOW OF THE BLUE FLAMES? Medium well or well done, Guillard, we’d like to get your order in early. Kamui summons his mate way too early proving yet again like a 16 year old girl on prom night, coming too soon is not a welcome thing in card games.

Kamui stop blowing your load too soon seriously FML. Guillard literally final turns him the NEXT ROUND. Woah dick move. To be fair Kamui was being a loud shit. OMG he gets a fucking TRIPLE CRIT. ON KAMUI. GUYS IT’S NOT EVEN FUCKING TEN MINUTES IN AND KAMUI GETS HIS GIRLISH ASS HANDED TO HIM. NOT EVEN FUCKING TEN MINUTES GUYS. Kamui is given memory judgement and sent back.

He wakes up at a card shop with no memory of anything, AND…OH GOD…NAGISA. NAGISA IS HIS JUDGEMENT. IM SO SORRY YOUR POOR BASTARD. THIS IS A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH. LINK JOKER COULD DESTROY THE WORLD AND YOU’D HAVE IT WORSE CAUSE YA HANGIN WIH NAGISA AGAIN SHIIT. At least Misaki cried yo.

Naoki and Kai wander through the building and discuss having faith in their friends. Their faith will not be rewarded, however, as they meet Guillard in the room where Aichi is. Guillard tells them his friends lost and he’ll fight and erase their memories now, but Kai stops Naoki from fighting them. He says it’s his turn. Ironically he now PLAYS THE MOST FUCKING BROKEN PIECE OF SHIT so I agree good work goin on here.

You now, all of the friends talk about how much they care about Aichi. But nobody’s fights feel as personal and slightly homoerotic as Guillard’s and Kai’s. “I won’t let you have Aichi!” “He’s been my mate all this time!” Kai manages to hold a strong game, even getting to Grade three with only 2 damage and one heal makes it one. Guillard also stays strong at one damage.

Guillard also explains his backstory. He lost everything in a fire, including his family. He lived at an orphanage and the first ever gift he received was a Vanguard card. He got it from his first friend, who one day he witnessed was being bullied. He later retrieved his friends car from the bullies because he considered him to be his first true friend. Later, through vanguard, even the bullies became his family. He went on to win the European Circuit. Thanks to Vanguard he gained a whole family.

But then Link Joker took his family from him, reversing all his family. Guillard declares Kai has no right to destroy the seals, because it was his mistakes that caused everyone such pain!

Kai’s fortune quickly reverses as he is up to 3 damage. Kai expresses that it’s not just them who want Aichi in their world, but other friends and family he has left behind. He declares he will rescue him and summons a Legion. . . Purgatoy Dragons, with a power of 20k ! Trinity Crimson Flame allows for not just one attack, not two, but FUCKING THREE ATTACKS! …AND THEN HE FUCKING LEGION ATTACKS WITH 31K , which Guillard blocks with a perfect guard. He gives his next critical to one of his rearguards, and declares he WILL do this for all of his friends!

But then Guillard asks him. . .if he wants to destroy the world again?! He explains not all have forgotten the pain link joker brought, but Aichi was able to heal those wounds. Aichi asked him for his help to defend the world.

(Aichi…made my bluish flames glow hotter. . .OKAY. WE GET IT. YOU’RE IN A GAY FIGHT WITH KAI OKAY??)

The battle rages on with Aglovale and Guillard. Trinity Crimson Flame comes again and even burn away the effect of Guillard’s heal trigger. Kagero is Kai’s true deck, afterall, and even Blaster Blade came to Kai for help. And with his final attack…..Kagero and Kai. . .DEFEAT GUILLARD WITH HIS BURNING RED FLAMES!

As Guillard collapses he promises his feelings will destroy the world once again. Yet Kai and Naoki are…imprisoned by ice?! Serra has trapped them as he suddenly destroys the rest of the seals and frees Aichi. . . .who has the aura of a reversed fighter!. . .Aichi. . . is still possessed by Link Joker! Serra bows before him….as Kourin watches in horror.
