This episode is, without sugar coating it, just a recruiting episode. And don’t get me wrong, that’s not necessarily bad. But if you were expecting them to get to the big fight, well, this week it just doesn’t happen. The episode begins with Rentaro visiting his mentor.
Well. . .uhm. . . visiting her with Tina anyway. Once again the show makes it clear Rentaro’s ultimate goal is to make people accept the Cursed Children, while his teacher reminds him they all have the limit of the corrosion rate they cannot escape. I have an awful feeling about that rate because the last time there was a battle on a huge scale Enju seemed to jump a good deal of points. If this is an ultimate crazy battle. . . well. . . I’m preparing for some feels. The best line of the show is hands down when his sensei tells Tina Rentaro needs her around to keep his little girl harem.
At the very least this episode we meet a VERY ATTRACTIVE MAN WHO RENTARO USED TO BE FRIENDS WITH WHO IS NOW STILL VERY ATTRACTIVE AND PRETTY CAN I HAS HIM SHOW, CAN I?
Without trying to extend the summary, Rentaro manages to recruit his friend Shoma with no trouble at all. And on top of it, Kisara is not about to let Rentaro fight alone. She personally gets Seitenshi to revoke Tina’s . . .er. . . .revoked status. . . .and becomes a registered pair with her.
Kisara and Rentaro have a heart to heart and it’s very clear the show is going to make them definitely a thing by the end. I’m kind of turned off by this? I don’t particularly have much interest in Kisara and Rentaro together- they’re your typical main couple and the show hasn’t sold me on Kisara even a fraction as much as it’s sold me on the Cursed Children plot line.
If anything this episode was good for how cute the Cursed Children are. Not to mention Tamaki wants to bang Kisara now and that’s pretty much five times more interesting than the pairing they WANT us to like. Let us commence in moe bombardment.
