Slam Dunk – Episode 9
Sorry Judo Club, your bribes won't work on Hanamichi. He's sticking with basketball!
Sorry Judo Club, your bribes won't work on Hanamichi. He's sticking with basketball!
How strong is Hanamichi's loyalty to the basketball team? Arguably, very low. But his commitment to Haruko? He's absolutely committed to her.
And the match between the first years and their seniors continue! We start to see more of Rukawa's competitive side and it's so strong that even Hanamichi has a moment of awe towards his biggest rival. But that is quickly overturned once his jealousy strikes again.
I have to give a quick shout out to Rukawa for being the most talked about character in this episode despite having very few lines. Actually, I feel like Ayako…
Welp, here it is, Hanamichi's first major tantrum of joining the basketball team.
I want to know where all of Hanamichi's confidence comes from. He wins an unofficial match against Captain Akagi and suddenly he's the next in line to become the captain.
The match between Hanamichi and the Basketball Captain is underway!
Shout out to Hanamichi for being the most dramatic protagonist I've seen in a while. But also, absolutely nothing is working out in his favor.
Enter Hanamichi Sakuragi the delinquent with a failed love life.
An absolute whirlwind of a final episode and I enjoyed every second of it! This series has been an absolute treat and the season finale is no exception.
I feel like this was both the longest and shortest episode yet. Honestly, it's amazing how much a team can change going into the second half. Heck! Even Musashino is feeling the pressure.
This episode was an absolute rollercoaster, but let's take a moment to appreciate Tachibana before anything else.
